Curtain Holdbacks Tie Everything Together
Curtain holdbacks, sometimes called curtain hold backs, are made of various materials. Sometimes the curtain holdbacks or hold backs are made of the exact same material as the curtains themselves, thus, they blend in with the curtains and you can’t see they are being held back. Often the curtain holdbacks or hold backs are made of contrasting or opposite materials which makes for a dramatic widow decoration. Whatever it is made of, its function is to hold back or holdback the curtains away from the window so the sunlight can come in or so you can see out.

Make sure to measure the top of the curtain material down about eight to ten inches because you need your curtain rod to go through this opening. Sew a straight line across where you’ve folded the eight to ten inches down over the long portion of the material laid that will be the top.
